I installed the American Adventure Lab inner fenders. I choose the bare metal, as I like this look. The instructions are easy to understand and lay out every single step in detail and with pictures. This is possibly the easiest install I’ve ever done. The good thing about AAL is that you can actually reach out to them with questions if the instructions aren’t enough (if needed).

The installation was simple, no cutting or drilling was required as the install utilized pre existing hole locations. Some of the fender retainer clips (4 each side) will be removed but they provide a screw and plastic washer which has two raised sections that clamp down the fender.

Removal of the inner fender takes about 20-30 seconds after they are installed. They are sturdy and will not come loose. I took the my Jeep out last night to see how the fenders would handle, mainly because I thought they were going to become loose or make a substantial amount of noise. To my surprise, I had no issues with them coming loose or rattling.

I can't praise American Adventure Lab on their customer service any more than I can say that water sustains life!!!! They are AMAZING! Thanks for the review and write-up as this will be my next purchase. I already own the high line blinker kit, as one of the pre-order first edition customers, which was having some minor illumination issues. They immediately sent out a replacement pair without question, even though I was able to provide video evidence. When it comes to customer satisfaction, these guys have that as their #1 priority!

How are these holding up? Planning to do the fender lights so would be nice to keep one brand for both.
We’ve been running ours for a while and love them still. They are among the best inner fenders on the market

Glad these are up to expectations!
I’m deciding between these and the Rugged Ridge inner fenders.

Anyone have these in gloss black? Wonder how they are holding up to rocks flinging inside the fender and chipping the finish.

We have them in gloss black. They still look like the day we installed them. Had some concerns about scratching/chipping but so far they are great. Treat them like paint when washing to ensure the brush isn’t gritty too.

The ones for the rear should be here soon and I don’t anticipate any difference. They look almost like a mirror. Awesome finish

Awesome! I'll ceramic coat them to hopefully make washing a bit easier too.

I noticed the rears on the site last night. Any idea if you need to have the rear fenders off or is that just the preproduction pictures?

That’s just production pics. They have some with and without the black fender trim too. They had some pretty good pics on their fb and Instagram pages too. We’re excited about them!

You have to take the rear fenders off for installation. I’m on the list for the first production run which, according to Mike at AAL, should be back in the shop for test fitting, then if all is well, coating and out the door.

Anyone running these liners with a ARB compressor mounted to the firewall using the Grimm Offroad mount?
