Ambient Interior Lighting For Footwells

Want to add some ambient interior lighting to my foot wells. Looking to add some green lights on my Mojito Sahara. Anyone done this? Recommendations on brand, size, wiring, etc? Please post pics if ya got ‘em!

Your Sahara should have ambient lights in the footwells already. Might be able to change those bulbs.

You already have ambient lighting on your Sahara. A couple of forum member's posted a ways back that they had good results just covering the ambient light they had with (color of their choice) stick on tinted film I think it was.

No you cannot easily change out those LED bulbs for colored LEDS

Remove the existing bulbs and post a photo of them. Maybe someone will know of LED replacement.

My JL hasn't come in yet, so I don't know what is there.

If it is a standard festoon type incandescent light, then maybe this?

That one is blue, but there are green ones also...

If you are just wanting to put an accent light in the footwell area, you could get away with just a single LED on each side. I would probably put a few more so that I didn't need to use as large of a current limiting resistor. Assuming 14.5V for the max voltage that the car will produce and 3.3V for the forward voltage of the green LEDs, you could put 4 LEDs in series with a 65 ohm current limiting resistor.
