I didn't notice it the day I picked up my 2dr Rubi, but when you open the door and look down at the plastic molding that goes against the door jamb, well it's pulled away from that area about 1/2". It's really bad at the area where both pieces of molding connect together.
Look like it just came undone so I tried to push it back into place. You can here it snap into the clip, but when you let go it just goes right back to where it was.
I took out the molding and noticed that the brackets that hold it into place seemed to be away from the body, so I adjusted them closer. Tried to fit the molding again....same thing happened and left a gap between the plastic and metal. It's as though the clips are to big for the pins that fit into them.
In the pics, it looks pretty good, because I placed a piece of rubber about 1/2" thick under the edge of molding that touches the rug and it pushes it into place.
My passenger's side is fine and fits nicely. Not sure what to do with it.......
Does anyone else have this problem?

Welcome to the world of the Jeep Wrangler. The fit and finish isn’t going to be what it is in most other vehicles. I just ignore all of things that would drive me absolutely bananas if it wasn’t on a vehicle that’s designed to climb mountains.
