Hi All! Now that I've got my brand new JLU Rubicon, I am in the process of picking out lift, wheels, tires, etc. I"m not planning on doing any hard-core rock crawling in this. I will be taking it off-road on moderate trails, but nothing crazy. With that in mind, my plan is currently to go with a mild suspension lift 2 - 2.5". I'd like to run 35's on that with my stock rubicon wheels, and use Spidertrax 1.75" spacers.

This isn't so much a budget thing as it is me not wanting to go too tall or deal with regearing. Plus, I love the factory Rubicon wheels. Do y'all see any issues with this plan?

You’re going to get a lot of mixed answers and haters on this topic. First off though you posted in the wrong sub forum :CWL:

I have about 8k miles on my setup on 37s currently. That includes 3500 miles round trip to Colorado and Moab. I aired down as far as 10 psi in Moab. I aired down and put it thru it’s paces in Hidden Falls. I’ve retorqued once when Discount rotated my tires. As long as you do it correctly it should not be a problem. I may be getting the bug to upgrade wheels soon but I’ve enjoyed the stock looking setup.

I feel ya, I love the factory wheels too. I debated a suspension lift for quite some time but I drive a bunch of road miles as well as some forest roads. Also from what I've seen a 2.5" lift + 35" tires give ya a pretty large gap in the wheel well and I'm not the biggest fan of that

I first went with 35's and no lift

But the rake was really bugging me so I installed the teraflex leveling kit. 1" up front and .5" in the back. And then added teraflex 1.75" spacers. Overall very happy with it

Damnit! I accidentally posted this in the marketplace. My bad. This is why I shoudln't do stuff from my phone, without my glasses, before my first cup of coffee.

Mods, if y'all can delete this thread that'd be great. In the mean time, I'll at least mark it as sold.
