I picked up an Aluratek wireless adapter for CarPlay at Best Buy on a whim. It’s works great. Flawless connection, books up quick and reasonably quick controls. It’s a USB standard cord but comes with a USB C adapter as well which is nice.

I had a wireless CarPlay dongle by “SuperiorTec” that was recommended in a YouTube videothat & I got it offf eBay. It was
$60 I think.

The Aluratek is MUCH better, faster & more consistent.

They have it at CostCo for $69

It’s this one @ Bestbuy for $89

Wondering if you used this on the dash-mounted USB connector, or in the console-mounted connector. I don't think I'd like that dongle hanging off the front of the dash, but wonder if it has the range to mount in the arm rest console USB port.

Honestly, I don’t think the issue with the dongles themselves. The connection between the Jeep CarPlay Uconnect functionalit is a bit quirky. Most of the time for me it works fine but occasionally if it doesn’t connect right away, it will after a minute or two. Worst case, the next time I turn on the ignition. Seems to be a switching issue when multiple Bluetooth/wife options are in range.

I have it in the center console. No issue with range. It connects from a few feet away when the car is on. It comes with a circle shaped double sided 3M tape dot, but I used some Velcro with peel & stick back to secure it to the side wall of the armrest so it’s not flopping around in there.

I deleted the previous Bluetooth connection in Uconnect and on my phone to prevent multiple connections. Works great.

You are not wrong about Uconnect. Every once in a while if I’m running multiple errands around town it will connect back up as ‘Media” vs CarPlay but it works fine. The next time I start up it’s normal.
