I believe you generally use a winch for self-rescue versus pulling someone else out which is where tow straps come into play. You can, though, winch someone out if tow straps aren't possible or an option.

Sounds like you are well on your way enjoying your ride to the fullest extent but know the limitations. Plenty of awesome trails up also in Utah all over the national parks and such.

Get some of the essentials (tow straps, air compressor for airing up and down for sand, compact shovel comes in handy for digging and turning over rocks, Rotopax set up for extra water and gas, self jump-starter, jump cables, etc...).
Tow straps aren’t made to pull someone out either. Dynamic recovery straps are made to pull out a stuck vehicle. Static tow straps are made for towing a vehicle that is not stuck. Each one has its intended use and mixing them up can be dangerous or cause vehicle damage.

I still can’t help but feel like you are trolling. Something about this whole post just feels off.
The only thing I can think of is you’re peanut butter and jealousssss
I don’t know maybe cause I’m having way more fun in this in the first 2k miles then you will the entire ownership?
Maybe cause I’m actually out here truly trying to use it for what it’s worth?
Or maybe because my threads make front page đź‘€

Hahah after reading all these posts you’ve done more than 90% of Jeep owners. Enjoy your Jeep!

My only suggestions are to mod the $hit out of it

Thanks! I stand corrected and learned something new. Now to watch a bunch of use case vids and add more items to my gear lol

I was in a different thread where everyone is saying what people do that’s not a real Jeep thing and a lot of people said having the hilift on the hood is not a Jeep thing and I tried asking people but no one replied where it should go I always thought it looked cool on the hood lol
Don't put it on the hood or you won't be able to do the best Jeep thing: drive around with the windshield folded down!
