I used to have a couple ducks I kept in my Jeep to duck other nice jeeps with if I happened to park near one, but honestly all the unreasonably angry people on Jeep forums who seem to think ducking is worse than Hitler have kind of ruined it for me and I don't really feel inclined to participate anymore. I wouldn't mind getting ducked someday though.

Don't let the "macho-men" or self appointed "hard core Jeeper" ruin your good time... most that hate ducking are just insecure in their masculinity... afraid their man card might get pulled... you do you !

It didn't come across that way. But seriously some things you take, some you leave. As being free Americans, that's our choice. So by all means do what makes you happy and do you, just have some respect while doing it.

Sure, the ducking may not be for everyone but I appreciate it when it happens and I always feel good when I do it myself. That's the whole point isn't it? To make others feel better in this crazy world we live in? And it seems Jeeps are the only vehicles to do that in. No other vehicle I can think of allows you to demonstrate your kindness/generosity to other strangers other than a Jeep. Aside from the Volkswagen Beetle or Mini Cooper, it's one of few vehicles that truly has a personality.

I also appreciate the origin of ducking culture, although it wasn't started under the best circumstances. Doing some research, I found out it all started at the height of the pandemic when a Jeep owner by the name of Allison Parliament witnessed a woman at a gas station getting assaulted. In order to make the victim feel better, she bought some ducks in the convenient store and left one on their car along with a note saying, "Have a Great Day." Ever since then, it became a viral sensation in the Jeep community. I think that's wonderful. Like I said, not started under the best circumstances but the gesture really goes a long way.

Sorry for the history lesson. I'm confident most of you already know the backstory but it's worth mentioning again, especially to the haters that tend to forget the historical significance of it.

Like I always say, Jeep Ducks are for three types of people: Women, Children, and Pedos

Clearly you fit into the first category.

I never wanted kids, that's part of why I'm married my wife. Her kids are all grown up. However one of her grown up kids decided to commit a bunch of crimes and now I have two of my grandkids full time. Basically the one thing I never wanted in life, I now have.

Probably goes without saying, but if you guys want to leave some mutilated ducks on my Jeep, I will happily melt them in the microwave for you guys before throwing them in the trash.

No one is angry by the way. Its more like annoyed. Just because you have a mailbox, doesnt mean you automatically sign up for those junk mails. And yet, every time you open your mailbox its still full of junk. That is the same feeling. There are people out there who dont mind it, or even love it.. I totally understand.

You do you, and let me do me... Respect others properties and opinions... are really all we are asking for.

If your "good time" can easily be ruined by me, or a stranger, saying no, your need to find a different hobby.

Bud... obviously my poor attempt of slight humor didn't shine through... of course you couldn't hear me laughing. Not that you researched my profile... but I am all about being yourself and doing you... I keep forgetting text can be very subjective, especially by different readers...

Everyone complaining about ducking in this thread is actually choosing to participate in it - just negatively.
