As bad as door to door evangelism. "Here take this token, it will make you feel better. No we aren't a cult, why do people keep asking us that?" I get where your coming from, a neighbors wife got a jeep. Then her Amazon package shows up on my front step along with mine and I accidentally opened it.
2 dozen ducks. The first week they are lined up across dash. Then I catch her ducking me. I said nicely. I'm not really into that. She says I will convert you . You will have a dash full just like me. I said no I won't. If I mess up and leave door unlocked she puts it on my dash.
So I say nicely, here's your ducks back . I'm not into that.
Now she won't speak.
We've gotten along good as neighbors for some years, till now.
Don't even get me started on her offroad pics of her throwing potting soil right out the bag on her stock sport and posting pictures of it on facebook.

Do you get this upset when something is shipped to you and you open the cardboard box just to find the product inside its own box? Just imagine all that unwanted packaging crap those other people are handing off to you like you don't have enough stress in your life.

Also, in case you're not aware, just because you find a duck on your jeep doesn't mean you have to put it on your dashboard. Throw it away, donate it, put it on a bronco so they remember their place. It's not hard to get rid of something you think is junk.

I ordered it in your scenario. I placed a request for something that I want. That's a big difference between that and getting home to find out that you've been fined by a homeowner association that you aren't even a member of. 1. A ritual is defined as a ceremonial set of actions carried out in a precise manner. I've never actually seen someone in the process of ducking, so perhaps I'm just unaware of the chanting or candles you're talking about. Otherwise, this behavior is about as cult-like as driving up to a gas station, filling up your tank, and leaving.

2. Okay. You should ask yourself why you care that much about what other people are doing with their free time since it doesn't hurt anyone. You don't need to tell me; I don't care why you like to be a debbie downer in your spare time.

3a. By rules do you mean this silly list that (spoiler for the last two entries) are neither rules nor are they behaviors people could follow even if they wanted to be in your imaginary little cult.

3b. Shunning someone means to intentionally ignore them, which would be exactly what you want. But since you can't stop crying over the concept, then you're either blatantly wrong regarding this point too, or you secretly follow every single ducking rule.

4. If that were the case, then why have you (and plenty of others) been allowed to speak out against ducking? You disprove your own point with every post.

5. Now I'm pretty sure you're just making things up. Nobody has ever ducked my jeep then demanded that I believe Miss Parliament's claims against unnamed entities. Have you ever considered the idea that you're jumping to conclusions?

Yeah, your neighbor is definitely a strange bird

If someone politely said “I’m not into that “ , I would Respect that and they wouldn’t get another duck. Trying to “Convert You” that would be concerning, and getting into your Jeep is definitely crossing a line

Considering her other behavior, the throwing potting soil on her Wrangler is no doubt Strange, but not especially surprising
