I know some people hate the fact that Jeepers like to duck.

But, as someone who is new Jeep owner, it's something fun to see that someone appreciates my rig.

My dad is in the hospital and has been for over a week. I go to see and stay with him every day for a while between my fulltime job and my parttime job and being a wife. And when I come out to my Jeep, it makes me smile to see a duck sitting on it. So as someone who is in a place often full of sadness, it's a nice little pick me up to see after a long day. I have ducks in the back that I give out too...it makes me feel good that someone else is getting appreciation.

Try not to get mad when you might see an unwanted duck on your Jeep. You never know what the person who gave it to you is going through...it might just be the one thing that makes them feel good that day.

Aww, if I was in your area I'd give you a pink duck!

EDIT: I only give my pink ducks to those who have them on their dash. I've never gotten one, and I like it like that.

I don't hate ducks... but the whole thing has gotten cringey.

It's always the base/no mod wranglers driving around with so many ducks on the dash that's all you can see. No square inch spared.

I thought the point was to duck Jeeps that you like, and think are cool. I did not think it was supposed to be lonely cat people getting on Amazon and smothering the dash with Chinese plastic. 1990 Wrangler with dry rotted tires and a torn up top, rocking more ducks that a mother fucker.... you ducked yourself, and it doesn't count. And while its none of my actual business, its fucking stupid.

I mean it started as just trying to bring people together and not be angry at each other .... seems to have worked swell.

All I see is completely stock jeeps with ducks lined up from door to door across the dash and none on the highly modded jeeps including the ones that look like a traveling J C Whitney catalog. I guess I don't understand the philosophy

Why be upset if a duck appears in your rig, just give it to a kid and you’ve done something good. If you like them, great. If you don’t, there’s kids everywhere you go. Hand it off and be done. Hating on it is just wasted energy

There was a time when ugly people and ugly opinions were expected to keep to themselves, and people were allowed to have joy, including over something so harmless and inconsequential as ducking. Way to bring out the worst in everybody!

Hate is a strong word. More like annoyed, the similar feeling you get when your mailbox is full of junk mails annoyed.

Here is a really wild suggestion. If there are kids everywhere you go, wouldn't that be easier to hand it to kids directly? This seems wild I know.
