When I get ducked I just use that duck on the next jeep I see.

They don't bother me, but i don't collect them either.

We used to be a very small community of jeepers who'd just wave.

If it squeaks or blows air out when squeezed, it's a free for all in my house.
We have two Boxers who can turn a single duck into hundreds of tiny pieces. They’re just doing their part to save the planet by “recycling”.

Tired again
Sure, the ducking may not be for everyone but I appreciate it when it happens and I always feel good when I do it myself. That's the whole point isn't it? To make others feel better in this crazy world we live in? And it seems Jeeps are the only vehicles to do that in. No other vehicle I can think of allows you to demonstrate your kindness/generosity to other strangers other than a Jeep. Aside from the Volkswagen Beetle or Mini Cooper, it's one of few vehicles that truly has a personality.

I also appreciate the origin of ducking culture, although it wasn't started under the best circumstances. Doing some research, I found out it all started at the height of the pandemic when a Jeep owner by the name of Allison Parliament witnessed a woman at a gas station getting assaulted. In order to make the victim feel better, she bought some ducks in the convenient store and left one on their car along with a note saying, "Have a Great Day." Ever since then, it became a viral sensation in the Jeep community. I think that's wonderful. Like I said, not started under the best circumstances but the gesture really goes a long way.

Sorry for the history lesson. I'm confident most of you already know the backstory but it's worth mentioning again, especially to the haters that tend to forget the historical significance of it.
I didn't know the whole story. Thanks for the info!

Gotta love the duck haters since clearly they were never loved growing up.
I had a Bronco loaner a couple months back. Got ducked while parked at the grocery store.
Hopeful for a complete recovery for Pops!

I don't hate ducks... but the whole thing has gotten cringey.

It's always the base/no mod wranglers driving around with so many ducks on the dash that's all you can see. No square inch spared.

I thought the point was to duck Jeeps that you like, and think are cool. I did not think it was supposed to be lonely cat people getting on Amazon and smothering the dash with Chinese plastic. 1990 Wrangler with dry rotted tires and a torn up top, rocking more ducks that a mother fucker.... you ducked yourself, and it doesn't count. And while its none of my actual business, its fucking stupid.

Mission accomplished.

Saving the world - 1 duck, 1 20" wheel and 1 angry grill at a time.
I give out extra ducks after reading these comments.

Knowing that I may brighten someone's day: nice.

Knowing that I may ruin someone's day: PRICELESS!
