Looking for advice on seats for my 22 JLU, front only. They aren't too uncomfortable , but for long trips I feel they could be replaced with something better suited for extended driving. I travel TX to MI a lot, and by mid trip, my arse is hurting!

Looking for people that have swapped them or have ridden is a buddy's Jeep that has a seat swap.

TIA

I swapped my front seats out for Scheelmann Vario Fs. They are super expensive but my ass is happy on long trips now. They are very firm in once you get them but after a bit of a break in they are amazing.

I got mine installed at Mainline Overland in New Hampshire but I'm sure there are other installers around. I originally planned to install them on my own but decided against as I didn't want to deal with sorting out the airbag lights that turn on if you remove the stock seats. The guys at Mainline dealt with all that for me.

Definitely a luxury upgrade but worth it in my opinion if you do a lot of long distance driving.

This is an easy fix. I took my jeep to an upholstery shop. They pulled the stock seat cover off removed the factory foam and replaced the factory foam with gel memory foam and made the foam as thick as possible while still using the factory seat cover. I dropped the Jeep off at 10 am and then picked it up mid afternoon. They charged me $700. My seats are super comfortable and I can comfortably do back to back to back 16 hour days in the Jeep.

You do not have to spend a huge amount of money. If you come to Mid Michigan when you are in Michigan. This is the shop that did my work. They do high end custom car interior work too.

Thought I read where new Dodge Ram power seats will fit. Could be wrong. Wibornz memory foam swap sounds like the way to go. If you're short, there are expensive cushions they make for wheelchairs. Lookup ROHO cushion on Google.

I wonder if that would work. My ram 3500 p/u seats are just way more comfy than the jeep. I added the jackers and it helps a bunch but the seat is still lacking. Be really nice to have vented also even if it was just powered with a simple toggle switch.

It's always surprised me that Jeeps come with heated seats but not vented, given most of the use-cases.

You would think they would offer vented seats, but probably they figure too much mud and dirt would get in them??
I don't know the ram goes out to the job site and it gets plenty of mud and dirt in it as a work vehicle. Plus I have a Red Heeler who immediately turns my seat into her seat whenever I leave the truck, so it's full of dog hair too and they still seem to work fine.

fellow dwarf here. i need seat jackers for the front and rear. maybe a booster seat?

i was thinking of getting some Recaros with a 5 point harness. for when i elevate my game to gnarly offroading.

and for those that complain about their jeep being too sluggish.

I have them. For me, its more of a padding issue.
