After almost running into the back of someone’s car I was super nervous on the braking performance of the stock brakes. I was looking for some better brakes and stumbled across the Alcon’s. They’re super expensive but I pulled the trigger and purchased the front and rear set of the Alcon big brake kit from Rebel off road the beginning of the month.

They finally showed up last week and they look amazing! I tried to install them yesterday and they came in contact with my Method 312 wheels with a +0 offset. I’m just waiting on getting some wheel spacers to come in to finish the install. I’ll be posting a video of the before and after stopping performance once I get them fully installed. Hopefully this will provide someone with some great information!

Just ask @cosine he knows!
NICE!
How much spacing do you actually need to clear those calipers? Are your Methods 17 or 18"?
Gonna be a hot setup for sure!

Did you consider the terra flex big brake kit? It’s 2k for front and rear. Just curious what the Alcon has that the TF doesn’t.

So I finally installed the brakes on the Jeep! The spacers came in and idk if I like the wide stance or not. Anyways I was able to get the fronts installed with no problem! I can’t say the same thing for the rears. I was sent a set for a JK. I thought they were the same but I was wrong. The dust shield needed to be cut and modified for the caliper to be installed. The ears where the brake line connects to the caliper were too small and wouldn’t allow the brake line to be installed properly. I had to cut them off. Then had to bend the brake lines a lot to get them to fit. Once I installed everything I noticed that the lines were still leaking and had to torque down the banjo fittings a lot more then the recommended torque spec that was given. A 2 hour job turned into a 6 hour one but I was able to make it work and the stoping performance is awesome! Here’s a few pics before I got mad and wanted to just stop.

Well last night I installed a set of power stop brake lines and the pedal feels amazing! If anyone decides to do this upgrade I would highly recommend doing the lines while you’re at it!

also I’m still trying to find some time to do the brake test! Hopefully I’ll be able to do it this week!

They’re great! I highly recommend them if you’re have 37’s or bigger tires on! Stopping performance is awesome and it gives me a ton of confidence in emergency situations when I’m on the high way. Especially with the extra weight of the HEMI!
