From Edmonton, AB, Canada. First time Wrangler owner, 2nd time Jeep owner (had a '11 Grand Cherokee V8 Overland).

Until last week, had a new '21 Bronco Badlands on reservation, but for many reasons, decided to cancel.

Just placed a factory order for a '21 JLUR from Innisfail, AB last Monday.

Final specs:
  • 2021 JLU Rubicon
  • 3.6L V6 with e-torque & 8-speed auto
  • White with white fenders
  • Factory 33 K02's OWL
  • Dark Saddle Leather
  • Steel Bumper Group
  • Remote Proximity Entry
  • LED Package
  • U-Connect 4C Group + Sound Group
  • Safety Group
  • Cold Climate Group
  • Sky One-Touch Power Top (This was a HUGE selling feature for us)
  • Integrated Off-Road Package
  • Cargo Management Group with Trail Rail
  • Tow Package
  • Remote Proximity Keyless Entry
  • 4:1 Rock-Trac HD Full-Time 4WD System
ETA is hopefully late March, but that is dependent on the Sky One-Touch Roof, which I'm told is not in stock at the factory right now.

Lastly, the JL was purchased as tow rig for a new custom off-road teardrop we are having made for delivery late '21. Preliminary rendering attached.

Congrats and the new Jeep and trailer. What are you doing for the trailer suspension?

Who's been to Ruby falls during this time of the year? It's been 4 years since the last time I went there. How are the water crossings now?

Did the Lost Knife trail and went to Margaret Lake last weekend with a few people from the Calgary Jeep Club. Just bought the Jeep a few weeks ago and it was the first run with the new tires. Worked well.

Good group of people to run with? Do they have a page? Nice Jeep!

Thanks, really enjoying the new Jeep so far. Still a bunch of mods to come but that will happen over time.

They have an old school web forum. I think most clubs in the area have migrated to facebook. Its not a busy forum but I'm sure it will pick up once we have better stretches of weather.

They guys I went with were around the same age as me, mid 40's, mature normal folks. I'm new to the city and don't know anyone so it was nice to get out of the house and actually interact with people. Which is strange for an introvert like me!

I'm just looking to get out and explore the trails and have some fun.

How was it out there? I'm planning on heading out to the lake there Saturday. Was there still ice on the hills?
