If you've ever installed a car stereo then it's pretty straightforward. Here are a couple of notes to consider:
- The space in the stereo compartment is super limited. The JVC unit, Maestro unit, and harness just barely fit. There are only a very few shallow-depth units that will fit (Kenwood DMX7706S is another one).
- The only tricky part is plugging into the Jeep CANBUS but the Maestro has good instructions.
- As far as I can tell, all the Jeep menus and features are retained except for one major one:
- The stock Jeep rearview camera is not compatible. You have to install another camera and run a wire or find a suitable adapter.
