There is a difference between the RS5000 and the RS5000X, and even more so is our RS5000X for the JL platform. Check out the image below and the info too.

In regards to the 5000X and 9000XL's they are tuned for the vehicle too.
And lastly we do make them for stock height JL.

Are there any drop in replacement for the stock Rubicon shocks? I do not plan to lift at least for now, and hate the mushy feeling of stock shocks. Most shocks are for lifted Jeep and probably will not fit the stock height.

Fox 2.0's are available for stock height and perform very well. Should be around $550 for the set.

thank you....did they just release these?...i looked a few weeks ago and there was no 0.00 height 9000 shocks....

Closest would be the RS9000XL on a 4 or so.
The 5000X is close too, but a more responsive ride feel.

Rancho so your saying on setting one of the 9000xl it should be softer than stock rubicon red shocks? I’m looking for a softer shock than oem and at stock height.

FYI: The Rancho RS9000 shocks have significantly less travel than the OEM Rubicon shocks (about 2.5" less travel, or 70%). Even the OEM sport shocks have more travel.
