Hi All,

I'm just wondering if anyone has installed/upgraded(?) their factory JL radio antenna with something aftermarket that is shorter and/or more rigid, and if so, did you notice any loss or degradation in your over-the-air radio reception?

Extra credit for links to a product you're using and are actually happy with...

Thanks!

Ordered! Thank you!
It was delivered yesterday, and I promptly installed it. Aside from having to fumble through a few different metric and standard wrenches to find the best fit for the removal of the OEM antenna and installation of the new one, this was as simple as an upgrade gets. As far as I can tell, there has been zero degradation in the over-the-air radio signal on the channels I typically listen to...

Thanks again!

I plasti-dipped the factory antenna. You could also use paint, but I would suggest plasti-dip as it flexes better and won't crack.
