This past weekend I went to install a Borla Climber S-Type Cat-back exhaust system from Extreme Terrain on my new '21 Sahara Unlimited. They shipped the correct product (double checked) but when going to install it I realized there was no way it was designed to fit with the 3.6l V6 eTorque engine you have to get on the '21s if you wanted the automatic transmission.

The metal undercarriage protection bolted to the frame and the battery/battery protection/lines from the battery are in the way of the Borla, but does anyone know of any other cat-back exhaust systems on the market that are compatible with the '21s that have the eTorque engine, gives the Jeep that deep sounding rumble that it needs w/o droning, and is not going to cost a fortune (over $500)?

To anyone that has installed an aftermarket exhaust on a similar Jeep setup, what did you install and how does it sound?

I went ahead and ordered the AFE Mach Force XP Hi-Tuck Axle-Back Exhaust w/ Black Tip directly from AFE Power for $155. I have been driving around without any muffler since I took it off the stock trying to get that Borla on (about 300 miles), and I like the sound but I can live without the drone. It's nothing I can't handle or even notice that much when playing music but wanted to get rid of it and add the Axle-back for now.

I am going to install the AFE when it gets here and see how it sounds/feels. I am also waiting on a Rough Country cold air intake ($150) and RC throttle body spacer ($45) to help my baby breathe better and after I install those we will really see what it sounds/feels like.

After all that I'll reevaluate where I am at with it. I may decide to take it to a shop and have them cut out the factor resonator and install a 2' glass pack to make it more of a straight pipe or a small racing muffler if its too loud. Still undecided but will update with how it goes once everything is installed...

I ended up ordering the Magnaflow. According to Magnaflow it will work with the eTorque. I get it next week and will let you know.
