I tried searching but couldn’t find an answer. Long story short, waiting on my complete AEV Dual Sport 2.5 kit to get here. All but one box showed up. The box for the miscellaneous parts. It’s 30 days out. So I am wondering how the AEV tuned Bilstein’s would ride with stock Rubicon springs. I have the Daystar 2” spring spacers, so I think length would be fine. I wouldn’t be off-roading until the full kit was in..so just wondering how road manners would be.

I read somewhere in their literature that stock suspension is soft springs and stiff shocks. They go with comparatively stiff springs and soft shocks. With soft springs and shocks it might feel a bit like a big ol’ 70’s land yacht.

I read somewhere in their literature that stock suspension is soft springs and stiff shocks. They go with comparatively stiff springs and soft shocks. With soft springs and shocks it might feel a bit like a big ol’ 70’s land yacht.
That is what I assumed from everything I have read. Although, I loved my first car (76 Impala) I wouldn’t want that ride in my Jeep 😂. I just hate having parts and not being able to turn a wrench 😭

Ya I know the feeling. Have you raised heck with whoever you ordered the kit from?
It’s Northridge, so I won’t complain until I hit 30 days. I am assuming they are still viewed as a good place…so much has changed since I had my JK 😭

I had no issues with 5100s and spacered stock springs.

Do you already have bump stops from the spacers? You can just put the springs on. A little lite on caster won’t kill you for a month.

I had no issues with 5100s and spacered stock springs.

Do you already have bump stops from the spacers? You can just put the springs on. A little lite on caster won’t kill you for a month.
Were they the AEV tuned 5100s? I know they are supposed to be softer, supposedly.

And yeah, I have the Daystar kit that has the spacers, bump stops, shock extensions, and longer LCAs.

I figured the caster wouldn’t be too far off leaving those LCAs on.

Standard 5100s, they’re high pressure mono tubes either way, not like they’ll be super soft and cause you to drive in a ditch.

I got my AEV 2.5 from them back in February and the extra components box was also "30 days" and it only came about a week after everything else.
