Advantage of BSG

Hi All, long time follower, first time poster.
Been looking for a while to get the new JLU somewhere Mid next year, but then I noticed the 2019 model will add bsg to the 3.6L, so I was wondering what the expected advantages will be and if it's worth waiting (extending current lease)
Are we expecting just better MPG or will it be used to increase HP
Also if the 2019 goes in production October of next year, what the earliest to to drive it of the lot (custom order), will the order banks open August for first delivery end October, or will ordering start October for first delivery somewhere in December?

More that anything it’s there to smooth out the feel of ESS which provides more fuel economy savings, but is still very small.

Boost to HP/tq is minor to start with and degrades with engine speed.

I'm wondering if BSG will be a feature that causes more headache than it's worth as the miles rack up. Things like this are why working on 4x4s in the driveway is becoming too expensive and difficult for the shade tree mechanic now days.
