My adjustable wrench game is weak. I need to buy some good ones. Ones that adjust smoothly, don’t have a ton of slop, and hold their setting. What works well for you?

I’ve had these in my Amazon wishlist forever... someday I’ll buy them.

KNIPEX Tools 00 20 06 US2, Pliers Wrench 3-Piece Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005EXNT2Y/
Those look like channel lock type pliers and not the same as the crescent styled ones we all have, I worked with a mechanic like 30 years ago and when I showed up on the job with my box and he saw the several different crescent styled wrenches I had he jokingly tossed then is the trash and told me to get the proper sized wrench.

Blue Point which is owned and sold by Snap On. In a former life, I was a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic. Over the years I’ve owned everything from Snap On to Craftsman. IMO nothing stands the test of time like Snap On/Blue-Point tools. Even though I’ve been out of the business for 30 years I still buy Snap On when I need a durable tool that I need to last. Buy it once!

Correct. They are not crescent wrenches, but are also not channel locks. Have a look at YouTube demo of these... they’re pretty awesome. Crescent wrenches are... not awesome. :)

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Yes, we all know that adjustable wrenches are not an ideal tool but they are something that I need from time to time.

No worries.... I have a set of three different Craftsman branded ones from like 20 years ago and still use them all the time

I have the same Craftsman extreme wrench. It really locks it tight.

I carry a Cobra Wrench in 6" and 12" and Cobra Pliers in 9" and they can handle a lot of jobs. But they are not a replacement to a good set of wrenches and sockets.

Agree, which is why I haven’t yet splurged on these... but they do look useful.
