I added a drain plug to my transmission pan.
it was simple to do
This is the drain plug I used

you can also use a bolt in plug, but I opted for the weld in.
It was much smaller and did not stick in to the pan very much.
Disclaimer: modify at your own risk.

I put my plug in the yellow circle, but I recommend that you drill yours in the blue circle.
See the picture further down to see why.
Before welding
Inside after welding
If you drill with the blue circle it will end up here.
mine is to the right just under the filter.
it does not interfere with anything, but would look better where the blue tape is.
I had to cut my 8 mm hex down to get the stock transmission fill plug out.
Not sure if that is just a JL 2 door problem.
