Acceleration Problems with 2021 2 - Door Sport JL

My 2 door Wrangler Sport JL is just now a year old and I have noticed that when accelerating (slowly) there is a strange sound - almost like the sound an old VW manual transmission Beetle would make or any other manual transmission when you accelerate from a dead stop in 2nd gear instead of 1st. Has any one else had this problem?

I don't recommend 2nd gear starts with the manual transmission. The stock gearing is to low for that in the sport models. your lugging the system to lack of words. I am assuming you damaged the clutch and may want to take it in for inspection.

I have never tried accelerating from a dead stop in second gear with my "21. Not sure why you would do that.

I don't think they said they were starting in 2nd, they were describing the sound using starting in 2nd on an old Beetle as an example.

I was only describing the sound. My new Wrangler is automatic.

Yes, that’s correct. My Wrangler is an automatic.
