AC not available with Manual Transmission

Just went to the Build and Price site, checking to see how costs may/may not have been effected. During the build process, when selecting Manual Transmission and AC, apparently one can only order AC with Automatic Transmission - bumps the cost up nearly $3,000.00

Seems that's true, but if you go with the Willys, not the super-basic Willys Sport you can retain manual transmission with A/C.

I got a Sport with a MT and the A/C is an option. It’s a 2018 though so maybe they changed it, but not offering A/C as an option due to the trans choice seems odd. Besides I though people couldn’t order manuals now due to the recall until they had that fixed (or has it been fixed?).

Same here... 2018 Sport S with manual and air. I think the "S" option included air, power windows, leather wheel etc. Check out whats bundled/hidden in some of the larger trim options. Tom

The order guide says you can do it. The online build tool is notoriously buggy. I bet it's just a mistake.

I have a 2020 Sport S coming any day. It has MT and AC. If they really did change this to link the AC to selection of auto trans, I guess I got my order in just under the wire. But I agree with the other guys, that it's linked to selection of Sport S trim line.

Sport S always has standard A.C. only the base sport 2-door doesn’t have standard A.C.

4 doors have A/C as standard equipment regardless of trim level or package. 2 doors don't.

Ok, I'm not arguing with anyone and maybe I wasn't specific when I first posted.

Currently the only way to get AC with Manual is by upgrading to the Willys edition, not the Willys Sport. The Willys (not the Sport) is an additional $3,000.00 more... I also understand for the additional $3,000.00 one also gets LED lighting, etc, etc,.....

But if one is not interested in getting the extra goodies, one must now order the Willys Sport with Auto Transmission ( an extra $2,750.00) to get AC.

Either way, one must choose how important AC is and basically one is going to spend nearly an extra $3,000.00 to get it. If selecting the Willys Sport, one will not get the Manual - the ordering system automatically selects the Automatic Tranny....
