Rather than the snark, why not just admit your numbers didn’t include the local option for the city of Chicago?

Texas is the same way. There is a state sales tax and a “local option” sales tax that is additive to the state sales tax.

I called in and said yes that's the final price but I may call in again to double check. Thanks for the heads up it is an hour drive and it will be sucks if I don't qualify.
