Anyone use an extractor to do a oil change on the 2.0T engine ??

I just tried using my extractor and the tube is snagging on something approximately a inch before it reaches oil. (it goes into the pipe where the oil check stick goes, if you are not familiar.)

I tried turning the pipe while I insert, but no luck yet. Also did a search on the fourm but no luck on any additional info.

Would love to know if anyone has any info !

Why are you using an extractor to change oil?

Because my plan is to change only the oil with extractor on shorter intervals than the full oil/filter change.

It takes me 3 min to set the extractor up and then 1 min to dump the oil for the total cost of 20$ using Penzoil Plat. It's good insurance for a turbo'ed engine.

This is how I do my quick oil changes.

@Arterius2 what quick-drain device is that? That cap looks like it would protect it pretty well off-road compared to some of the other drain plugs on the market.
