I waited almost a year and spent that time reading a million things about tires, rims, sizes, lifts, etc.Appreciate the update. We’re on the fence about either just upgrading to larger tires on the stock 18’s are do the full rim and tire swap.
What ultimately made my decision was that I wasn’t ready to lift my daily driver Jeep yet (35”+ were out) and I didn’t see a need to try to stack wide tires on new rims with or without an offset. I like they way the Jeep drove and didn’t want to change it.
I found that I could probably fit 285s on but wasn’t sold on their being no rubbing, terrible gas mileage, slowed braking, etc.
Long story short I’m very happy with this size for the next few years: kids can still get in, wife can still hop up, and if I hurt my back I’m not rolling my eyes to get my leg up.
Most definitely more aggressive and can handle more off road without giving up much on the pavement.
In terms of Price i think got a decent deal: $1,600 for 5 installed and balanced at the dealer with the buy 3 get 1 deal. My budget was $2k and to be under was great.
