Truly cheap Chinese junk....while I suspect the motor and parts will have a short life...I would be far more worried about sudden failure of the rope and attachment parts. Run away from this “deal”

Is no one reading my comment that “this has to be the lowest quality winch out there?“

I’m reading “I volunteer to be a lab rat for everyone here”, and to that I
No Thanks, I already have a winch.

Jeep Wrangler JL $99 for a 13,000lb winch with synthetic rope??? A55D99C1-34D6-46FE-8966-7302E35C692D
This probably came from the same factory as the other made in China mass produced winches on the market; just didn't have a "designer" come up with some plastic covers and stickers to make it look unique.

What you are paying for with those other vendors (Smittybuilt, Rugged Ridge, etc) is to give you another one when it fails. This you are just removing that middle man and self insuring.

Actually, it looks exactly like my old Engo, so it may be their old model. If so, it is an excellent winch. Every detail on it (other than color) looks like that Engo, right down to the visible screws, moldings, etc. That old Engo makes a helluva terrible racket when it runs, but it never fails. That particular Engo was the first Chinese winch to challenge Warn in performance. It was Four Wheeler magazine, I think, that did a test and the Engo outperformed the Warn. They still gave the victory to Warn because they liked the looks of the remote better. I've had that Engo for many years and it has never let me down. The only issue is the noise and the contol lever gets covered in surface rust.

I'd guess that the 99 dollar part is where it becomes bogus. They can't possibly make money selling them at that price, even in China. If I thought I'd actually receive the winch, I'd blow 99 bucks just to see if it really is the same as the old Engo.

Unfortunately, Myshopify is a hive of scammers. Sort of like the bar on Tattoine.
