So we took delivery of my Wife's new Jeep 392 Rubi....and she's in love....with the 392...not me...sooo! While driving home, she realized that her rear washer was not coming on. I figured that it may have been low on fluid, but after inspection, discovered that all was filled correctly. While messing with it myself, I noticed that the front camera also has a washer option....but this also is not working.
When it's first 2K service came up, I made a comment to the service manager about the washer issue, and he assured me that he will gladly take care of it. "2.5" Hours later!!!! He walks in and says that his mechanic is only (no insult, but the guy looked like he had just discovered fire and may have eaten a box of Kittens for breakfast) qualified to service oil changes and to return later next week, so that his "master mechanic" can look at it.
Fast Forward to yesterday, (belated Happy Thanksgiving to my extended Jeep Family) while out (bunch of grunting and farting Tim Allen's and most drunk at the time) with family at our Thanksgiving dinner, a few of the guys wanted to see and hear the 392. It was at this point, I was showing the front suspension, when I noticed a thin, black rubber hose, resting on the fender inner-liner opening. It was the "NEVER CONNECTED" camera hose and after digging around a bit, found the rear washer line, that was also..."NEVER CONNECTED" WTF MAN!!!!
$83K and the factory skips this aspect of assembly? Next week, I plan on going over the entire Jeep and from driveline, electrical connections to lug nuts. At the end of the day, we love our Jeeps (wife is having an affair with someone named 392...but I just ordered mine so....game on) but this is something that Jeep should focus on its assembly quality and lets show the same pride that the owners have for the brand.
