Did anyone’s 80th anniversary come with protection film on the rear fenders? Mine did not but I noticed all the Saharas on the lot, as well as Rubicons with panted fenders, all had this included. I ended up buying the film online and installed myself because they started getting several rock chips and haven’t even hit 800 miles yet.
What film did you buy?

The film I saw only covered the front-facing portion and stopped an inch or so on the top. I suppose it could be something that the dealers are installing.
Or maybe for shipping? I just bought some 3M Vvivid body protection tape that I'm going to apply to the rocker panel before I install the sidesteps. It comes in lots of different widths.

Heya everyone, just found this thread, bought a 80th edition back on the 31st. Pic is from this past weekend which was my first nakid drive with Lt. Dan.

Question for the group, does the 80th edition have drain holes? I looked but if I do have the they are completely covered by the carpet. A couple of youtube videos show other Wrangles have perforated sections in the carpet to cut out to acces the drain holes but I don't have those on mine. Also crawled under and tried looking but didn't see anything. Has anyone else taken a look for them?

Decided to go with AEV 2" spacer lift for now. I'm happy with how it turned out, and seems to drive same as stock which was my main concern. Also 1.75" wheel spacers. First 2 pre lift, next 2 after.

I've been looking at a Rubicon, but the 80th Edition package offers a lot for a good price, it seems to me. Might have to rethink my preference.

I saw a beautiful Rubicon on the lot...but for me the most "off-roading" I'll ever do is maybe dirt roads and some beach. And even that will be very rare. So it made no sense to have all the off-roading extras of the Rubicon that would just add weight and have more to break, given I'd never use them. So...for me the 80th package was the best route. BUT...if you are a serious off-roader check out the Rubicon. :)

The Rubi capability is appealing, but I'd only use it in really tough spots off road. I'm sure the 80th with the Anti-Spin axle and its brake lock differentials will do just fine for the off roading I have in mind. I'm not looking to add a lift or huge tires. Maybe 33s when the OEMs wear out, is all.

So, the 80th fits my needs.

The Rubicon also has a higher stance (more difficulty getting in and out), it has stiffer suspension (think ride harshness),, and weighs more (lower gas mileage). In reality, the Rubicon is more than what 80% of Jeep owners really need, but it has the "cred" that a lot of people want. Not me; I bought the 80th and am very happy with it.

Looks great! Why did you add the wheel spacers? Just for asthetic reasons?

I had heard that I may get some rubbing with the AEV lift without them. I installed them before the lift so can't confirm if it would have though. I'm curious to try without them but I do like the stance with them on.

UGHH! I had a scratch on mine the first weekend from passenger getting in or out. Need to film before more happens. My try to film behind the the door pulls also.
