8.4 Connect rebooting every 3 minutes

UNBELIEVABLE took my 2018 Wrangler Rubicon JL in today to service dept because my unit started rebooting every 3 minutes. Making everything disconnect. It would then reboot. Making use of any of the bluetooth, music, all apps etc useless. Even with the unit off it continues to reboot. Service dept told me it is an over the air update that is being pushed out by region. Started at end of July. No timeline on when I will get it.
Called FCA and was told just had to wait! They said no estimate of time and nothing they could do about it. I cannot believe they could care less! The Service dept is not able to do anything because they will not give them the update to download.

PLEASE HELP IF ANYONE HAS CONTACTS AT FCA OR SOMEONE FOR ME TO CALL. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP ANYONE CAN PROVIDE.

Advise if anyone else has this issue. I am at my wit's end.

I have no information that will help, but I can say that after my update yesterday to the latest and greatest Uconnect software, I've had two instances today while sitting at a red light where the Uconnect system reboots. Both times have been while I was at a complete stop and the engine had automatically kicked off due to Autostart. Maybe that's related? I have no idea.

Either way, My Jeep has never done that, and now it's rebooted twice mid-trip for no apparent reason in the same day. :swear:

I noticed mine rebooted today twice as well. Worked perfectly fine before. !!! WTH

I drove today for about 80 miles, and there was no rebooting. Unfortunately, I washed the Jeep and while I was messing around with the interior, Uconnect "froze" on me twice. It was stuck on the "phone" screen and was unresponsive. I started the Jeep and it started working again. Same thing when it froze the 2nd time.

I have to say, I'd had no problems at all with Uconnect until the new update. Being in a software-driven industry, I know the deal, but it still sucks when stuff doesn't work right.

Same here no issues today. I guess it did its update yesterday by itself.

Froze up again today on my way home from work. I was on Apple CarPlay and stopped to eat with my wife. Got back in but didn't hook my phone up because I was just going to turn on Sirius XM since I have it for a year.

But the system was froze/stuck on the "media" screen and I couldn't do anything. It was totally unresponsive no matter what buttons I pushed. It actually DID visually acknowledge that I was pressing buttons, as it would do the button rollover and whatnot. I just wouldn't do the action.

I then plugged my phone back in, and it all started working again. So...I don't know if it's a CarPlay issue, or a Uconnect in general issue, but it's hard not to blame the errors on the new update, because up until this update I've had ZERO issues from Uconnect, and I've put it through the ringer.

I am still having the issue. No help and still rebooting every 3 minutes. I actually timed it. Everything worked fine until just last week after 3 months. Phone plugged in Apple CarPlay no Apple CarPlay. No phone with phone connected makes no difference.

I don’t know what to do!

New update::
Jeep was towed to Dealership 2 weeks ago because battery was dead every morning. After getting FCA involved and Jeep Cares we finally got a replacement unit authorized along with both batteries being replaced as well. So far after picking up everything is working well. It was tough due to them getting to understand issue of rebooting and battery going dead had to get Jeep towed to finally get them to take action.
