Sorry to rain on the parade guys (no pun intended) but it's supposed to rain on Friday. You're not alone I can't wait either.

It's been in the 70's since the last week of February here (S.E. Arizona).

Nice day? For now, work on tasks regarding your Jeep that you can do on your own driveway.

I know COVID-19 is going to be with us for a while, but let's at least let the experts get a better handle on the new cases, new deaths, availability of tests, doctors and medical equipment before we take to the roads, on or off pavement--at least where we get out of our vehicles. We have to let the specialists get a feel for the COVID-19 numbers so we can begin to understand if and what containment methods are working, and if so at what limited rate of growth of new cases.

I've got cabin fever too. But the operative work in Public health is public. Stepping out increases chances for being infected or infecting others should you be a carrier but asymptomatic. If you don't have elderly loved ones (and by the way the original thoughts of children being less effected by this are proving wrong) the person you come in contact with might, or vice versa.

Sorry if this is a tough pill to swallow but those Spring Breakers, out in mass on Florida beaches....should have stayed home and the beaches should have been closed. I get that people this age tend to think that they're immortal. I probably did too when I was that age, but those they infect may not be--as sure as they aren't either.

In this war, and it is a war, we are all petri dishes. We should act as scientists do with petri dishes, careful to keep unused ones distanced from those cultured, careful to keep ones cultured with one disease apart from those cultured with another.

I wish everyone health and peace. I do not wish to start a fight. I get that we all got Wranglers out of some sense that being outdoors is so much better than being inside.

And should the COVID-19 numbers improve, please don't all rush out. Give them a chance to stay at lower levels for a while and introduce outdoor behavior in steps.

Time here is life. Reducing numbers means not taxing the health care system all at once. Time is clinical trials for a vaccine; an available respirator, an opportunity for government and the private sector to partner to produce more respirators, etc.

Please be well everyone.

Not only it's going to rain, it also will SNOW on Monday here in NY. Personally, I just received a Warn Winch Plate and a nice Warn VR10S winch and am waiting for delivery of the Rough Country steps, so Saturday and Sunday I will be on my driveway having fun, even if it'll be back to 45-50 degrees......uggggg....I also can't wait to switch to Soft Top, but I will try to resist until we get a steady 60+ degrees and sunny! Everybody please be safe.....stay home. I am taking nice drives after working from home, but I do not leave the Jeep......

As someone who works in Healthcare I appreciate what you are saying very much and thank you for the acknowledgement.
The sad fact is that resources are already running very low and we have even been asked to re-use our N95 masks not just from patient to patient but for a week at a time until it had become soiled or contaminated.... Which is scary to say the least.
Drive safe folks, don't waste protective resources and by the way if you are only wearing a mask and not protecting your eyes then you have wasted a mask. Your tear ducts are just as vulnerable.

My Sunrider for Hardtop is arriving today. Waiting for FedEx to drop it off. I'm hoping the rain breaks later in the afternoon, so I can get it installed today and hopefully go out for a quick drive in between the rain after work tomorrow. Stay safe everyone!!
