So school me up. Should I go with the kits that upgrade the soundbar speaker to the 6.5 inch or 6x9? I currently don't plan on an amp but maybe in the future when funds are available. It would be whatever power the Heigh10 puts out. I don't need to win any competitions I just want to be able to take the top off and still be able to hear the music. Please let me know. Maybe I just need to suck it up and wait a year or so and plan on doing an amp/speaker upgrade all at once?

Take a look at the MB Quart kit. It replaces all of your speakers. There are plug-and-play versions of the kit with included amps and cheaper one without. It comes with 6x9 for the roll bar. Keep in mind, the biggest audio improvement, in order of impact is dash, knee and only then roll bar.

If you are keeping the factory amp it doesn't make sense to replace those speakers as you likely will want a different setup when you do replace the amp.....

The best upgrade is the dash and sound-bar 3.5's getting replaced and leaving it at that until you decide to do an amp, and then get proper components to achieve your goals.

See this thread and the video I posted.

I used the SSV adapters to install 6.5s in my sound bar. I like that they use a metal plate under their plastic trim for strength.

I have a Heigh10 and went with the Infinity PR6512is 6-1/2" and SSV Works JJTSAO65 adapters. Did stuff the soundbar with polyfill too.
