Very quick question - I have just picked up 5 Rubicon 33" rims and tires from another forum member and need to get them to my deal to have them fitted. Can I get them in the back of a JLU soft top with the seats down?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I would assume so, I fit them in with the hard top, also used the passenger seat.

if you got a 4 door yes i got 5 rims and 5 285x70 r17 ties in the back of my jeep and front seat to take them to the tire shop for mounting. just stack them vertical its easier then stacking them on top of each other 4 will fit side by side with one in front of them near the gate.

Guessing you fit them (thanks for asking this).

Did you use your stock lug nuts and did they fit? I’m picking up a set tomorrow. Any idea if you need to do anything to make the tpms sensors work?

The fit perfectly - as suggested, 4 side by side across the back with the seats down and the 5th behind the tail gate.

The guy I bought mine from sent me the lug nuts as well and I have just dropped the package at my less than helpful local dealer. They are supposed to switch the TMPS sensors from my wheels to the Rubicons and then flash the CPU to recalibrate the speedo and odometer for the slightly larger rolling radius.

Apparently if the sensors are in the tires then they should automatically start to pick up without having to do anything. I'm pretty sure this is going to be a problem. My local CJRD dealer isn't really a Wrangler specialist. I always hate it when I know more than the person supposedly providing me the service.

I will let you know how it goes. All I can assure you is that there will be a large bill for labor which will no doubt all have to be done again. I was trying to keep the warranty in place, but will probably prove to have been a waste of time and money.
