My wife drives about 35 miles to work one way. With a full charge she will average about 24.5mpg per tank. She only runs about 72mph though. The faster you go the worse it gets due to driving a sq box down the road. That is figured at the pump although i have found the jeeps computer is pretty accurate to what we figure. Hope this helps. Can you 4Xe owners please post you actual fuel mileage. I'm just curious what real word mileage looks like.
Wait... how can the post above yours be getting 24mpg and your getting 45/double. 45mpg is actually worth me doing a trade in, 24mpg is not worth the trouble..
This is what my first 2 fill-ups have looked like with daily charging. I'm usually driving 60 miles per day for work. Lots of shorter trips on all electric on the weekends.
You'll find that the "real world mpg" on a 4xe is going to be all over the place depending on how you'll be using it. This is your this best answer. If you have no intention of plugging in the 4xe, real work mpg will probably mirror the 20mpg EPA estimate. Otherwise, that "real world mpg" is going to be all over the place. You'll find that the "real world mpg" on a 4xe is going to be all over the place depending on how you'll be using it. edit: keep in mind that charging ain't free!
Her's is ALL hwy miles and can be hilly in parts and she will only get about 20 miles on the charge alone and there is no city driving to recharge nor chargers at her work so the bulk of her communte is in Hybrid mode.Wait... how can the post above yours be getting 24mpg and your getting 45/double. 45mpg is actually worth me doing a trade in, 24mpg is not worth the trouble.
It does NOT pay for itself.Wow..... So it pays for itself....
Can't you charge it at a one of the many free charging stations that are all over the place? This is your this best answer. If you have no intention of plugging in the 4xe, real work mpg will probably mirror the 20mpg EPA estimate. Otherwise, that "real world mpg" is going to be all over the place.
