I saw the title, and my very first thought before I even clicked it was, "must be a Californian".
Beautiful state, shitty laws and traffic.
You should do yourself a favor and move to Texas, get yourself a gas guzzling diesel. Then you can strip it of all of its emission compliant parts and still pass registration.
Or I guess you could stay in California where in another decade or so, you won't even be able to buy any of the current Wrangler models, because they don't have a fully electric one.
Good luck out there. Also too, I'm pretty sure last time I visited LA, even the HOV was stop and go. Does it really even matter if you have an HOV sticker or not? I mean you're going to be stuck in traffic regardless. Really what's an hour versus an hour and a half to go 20 mi?
