My wrangler has been at dealership for two weeks after failing patch for battery recall. They have no idea when they will get replacement battery, guessing 6 weeks. No loaners available so I have to rent a car which will be reimbursed once my car is fixed. I’m looking at shelling out $1000’s for car rental and no deferred lease payments from Stellantis. Every time I call customer service I get the same scripted response. I’ve driven wranglers for over 20 years, this is the last. This recall has been managed terribly by Jeep. Rant over, I’m pissed!

If you don't like the rental reimbursement option, be persistent and check in with them every day to see if a loaner has become available. It sucks. Hang in there.

Hey there, normally it's about 6 weeks between failure and replacement.

Call Stellantis. They WILL reimburse your rental cost once the vehicle is repaired. Dealer will almost certainly NOT give a loaner for this as it's a complete unknown amount of time before repair and there's only so many available. My dealer does not give a loaner for these either.

That being said you have a 4XE. This won't be it's last time out of service. If reliability is what you're worried about I'd strongly suggest picking up an ICE model, they are much more reliable in comparison.

Picking up and ICE model is my plan, as I am no longer comfortable taking the 4xe on multi-day wilderness trips. I will trade up from 4xe Sahara to ICE Rubicon as soon as I get the vehicle back.

I'm at 6 weeks waiting for a battery but was lucky enough to get a dealer loaner vehicle. I now have word that the battery was "released by the manufacturer" but I don't have a projected delivery time.
