He is probably in 4W Lo hence the warning lights.

Your FAD may be bad and you might always have the front passenger wheel engaged
yes FAD, I believe the 1st response to my question explains it well.

It least in my case, yes. Tested it by smashing the go pedal from a stop. The front tires had power, cause all 4 tires spun and threw snow. YMMV
Your FAD is stuck engaged, it shouldn't be. Do you have any idea what faults are actually active on your truck?

RudeJeepin, can I get more information?
what year is your Gladiator?
how long have you been driving without you ABS and traction working?
Mine is a 2022 JTRD, the lights come and go. They only come on when it's wet/rainy outside. Issue started late last spring, but I wasn't to worried about this summer. Plus I was trying to wait until I could get the high pressure fuel pump recall done at the same time. But with the weather finally changing I have an appointment next week for the lights. Dealer thinks it's bad connection, supposedly there is a TSB on it.

It certainly was, or else you did not have 4wd. What faults were set?
Again, my FAD is not stuck and is functioning as intended. Again, yes I had 4wd when the transfer case lever was pulled into the 4wd position and 2wd when the same lever was pushed forward into the 2wd position. All that stuff functioned as intended from the factory.
Traction control, stability control and ABS systems work most of the time. Except when it is fairly wet out. Then I'd get a few warnings and those 3 systems would shut down, along with the cruise control. But the 4wd would still properly function and shift in and out.

The only DTC that showed have to do with the left rear wheel speed sensor and one for the fog lights.

Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. I have over 40yrs experience working on all kinds of vehicles, with over 20 of those years being a professional mechanic. At the last 2 shops, I was the one others came to for electrical issues. I was the one who ran the computer for DTCs and diagnostic work. I know unequivocally that the FAD and the 4wd was working properly.

Maybe it's a Gladiator thing or a software thing, I don't know. But I have a 2022 JTRD with a build date of 3/30/22.

This weekend i went wheeling and spent a lot of time in 4-Low and on a few obsticles had to engage front and rear lockers.
When we got to the camp site i shut the jeep off (still in 4-low but in Park), had lunch and hung out. After about 3 hours passed We decided to leave, I didn't notice whether or not i had the "Serv 4WD" Light on or not, But we got to a part and i went to engage front & rear lockers. I look at the dash and it says that i cant engage lockers because im not in 4WD. I also see a sway bar error and Serv 4WD error. but i don't ever remember hitting the swaybar button. i didn't disengage the swaybar at the start of the trip, now that i think about it i have never disengaged the swaybar.

Anyways we made it out and of course aired up went back to 2wd and made it home. No lights no failures.

This morning on my way to work its pouring out so i decide to check 4-High on a long straight away. It shifts into 4-high, no lights or errors. go back to 2wd and head to work.

Now i'm at work and wish i was still wheeling.... but for the questions.

Should i have shifted out of 4-low when we got to camp before i shut off?

What are my next troubleshooting steps?

Roger, YES you should have shifted out of 4Lo. As a former airline pilot, I'm used to using a "shut-down checklist and carry that over to every vehicle I drive. Climate OFF, Radio volume DOWN, 2Hi, lights OFF, etc.
