I’ve had my jeep for 2 years in Oklahoma, 32,000 miles. Our highways are pretty bad plus I spend a lot of time on gravel roads. I haven’t had any cracks. I have regular glass and one of those hood deflector things.

Put RO on in Mar 23, DIY. Peeled badly, they replaced. Had pro install in June 23, now July 24, working well. Only pulled one layer so far. Has survived numerous hits since then, still working.

How much are they who installed them for you I need a new one you the dealer or aftermarket
Stupid expensive, but cheaper than a typical car windshield. Safelite through Progressive glass coverage. OEM until after 60kish miles, then they only cover the aftermarket ones.

one downside to free glass replacement. Apparently, Progressive use each glass claim as an at fault claim. You caused it. Therefore, more than 7 in 7 years, they deny coverage. Yeah, so much for them.
here in SC we have $0 glass replacement, once a year you can get a windshield. it does not raise your rates... per se... but when shopping for insurance, you're going to get a price... then when you get deeper in the process... those glass claims pop up and the rate does go up.

My WRX has had a crack for god knows how long. started with a chip then it spread, thankfully, it is in a U-shape in the top driver corner. it can't spread anymore so I have just left it to avoid the trouble. last I looked the subaru glass was all backordered for months anyway so I have not bothered.

Yep, I have 2 of 4 vehicles with stars and cracks, nowhere near line of sight, and will remain there for years.
