From time to time I have seen posts where people mention tapping in to the high voltage battery for over landing use. The first issue is that there would have to be some sort of conversion to a lower voltage which would require some sort of hardware. If you are going to that much trouble to add a piece of hardware, it might as well just be an inverter.
Second, these are similar to the kinds of safety gloves technicians have to use to work around the high voltage system on the Wrangler 4XE. This is the kind of potential for injury that exists in these high voltage batteries.
Third, messing around with that high voltage system will likely nullify any warranty covering the hybrid system.
