I been researching lift options and I keep coming back to wanting the minimum amount of lift as possible. Going with Clayton’s new 1.5” universal (2 and 4 door) lift or Metalcloak‘s 2.5” 2 door lift, I’m afraid I will get more lift then desired or needed. I will be replacing the inner fender liners, I hated them from day one and am going with some type of fender chop reinforcement. This will give me much needed clearance for my tires/wheels (315/70r 17 on Methods with 4.75 backspacing).
My primary goal is to get the suspension to handle all the added weight better. To my understanding, my JLR came with the softest springs from the factory (my Jeep came with soft top, plastic bumpers and no tow package). The 4 door JLUR springs equipped with hard top, steel bumpers and towing package are rated higher and should handle the weight much better on my loaded up 2 door. Ideally, I would like to be as close, if not a little more then I was originally at stock height. My Jeep is now equipped with heavy steel bumpers with winch, tire carrier, larger tires, full Undercloak skid, dual batteries, with air compressor, etc. It’s really weighed down the stock suspension. Bottom of my frame is about level with my parents stock JLU Sahara (measured at the same spot) for example.
While researching, I cam across an interesting post by @Kreepin1 in this Thread.
Any thoughts? I don’t rock crawl, but do off-road/camp regularly and just general long distance exploring.
Jeep currently as it sits with pics of front the springs.

To me, this seems like it maybe the perfect combo combined with some upgraded shocks. More so being the Rubicon was supposedly designed to run 35s; so I don’t see the need to lift it much. I do not know my exact weight, I intend to get it weighed after I install the ARB rock sliders that was delivered today.Tough call.
You are a good candidate for 4-door loaded Rubicon springs which would give your about an inch of lift. Here's what I would do:
Synergy Sector Shaft Brace
4-door Rubicon springs (LF/RF 68253661AC/68253662AC and LR/RR 68253591AA/68253592AA)
2 - Mopar lower control arm, Mopar 68322798AA to dial in a bit more caster you lost in the lift
1/2" taller bump stops either through a spacer or something like the Timbrens
Any thoughts? I don’t rock crawl, but do off-road/camp regularly and just general long distance exploring.
