Your ride looks great! I just put new wheels and 285/70/17’s on my JLU Sport S and it looks better than I thought. I’m now looking to do the same as you have with the JLUR take off suspension. I’m kinda mechanically inclined and willing to attempt to do this myself. What tools are required, if you don’t mind me asking? Or, am I better off having someone else do it? Thanks in advance!
I did this in the parking lot of my apartment complex. All you really need is are jackstands, jack, set of sockets and wrenches, and other basic tools. Spring compressor which you can rent at AutoZone is optional. A mechanically inclined person can do the swap in a few hours.

The Jeep is looking good! After it’s had time to settle, are you still lifted to 1.5 front & 2.0 in the rear? Do you think you’ll stick with this setup or swap to an aftermarket in the future?

I didn't measure before and after but that sounds about right. For now, I'm sticking with this Rubi takeoffs and 33s when I get them. I may upgrade in the future to aftermarket but that's way in the future.

Installed the Rubicon takeoffs springs and shocks on my 2018 JLU sport. The Rubicon springs numbers are 68253591aa, 68253592aa Rear and 68253661ac and 68253662ac Front. Along with the springs and shocks I also installed the Mopar 2 inch lift lower control arms number (82215398AB) and a Daystar 3/4 inch lift kit (DAYKJ09181BK) I also installed Rusty’s front track bar brace (RC-TB7500-JL). The change out took about 5 hours. I also had the jeep realigned and with the new lower control arms the caster came in at 6. The Jeep tracks straight and steers very well. Here are the height numbers before and after the install.

Before Right front 37 1/8 Left front 37 1/8 Right rear 37 1/2 Left rear 37 5/8

After Right front 39 1/4 Left front 39 1/4 Right rear 39 1/4 Left rear 39 3/8

BTW, I have the Mpoar lift installed on my JLR. No offset issues ? Caster is @ 6 BTW with kit LCA
your alignment shop had to of lied to you. you have the print out of the specs?

I have the longer LCA's that come in the Mopar lift kit, with Rubicon Suspension and it doesn't put the caster anywhere close to that.

See my Pics. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...rt-suspension-height.4347/page-14#post-833376

My front and rear axles have only shifted 1/4 inch in opposite directions, so any higher than the stock rubicon suspension and I'll be looking at getting track bar relocation or adjustable. Currently trying to decide what Adjustable lowers to go with.

I did the same thing, except I added a teraflex 1/2 in spacer kit. Got me 2 1/2 inches. Rides great , no steering issues.

What size tires are you running with this lift? I was looking at getting the 2.5" lift and moving to 285/70/27s on my sport. If that is the tire size you are running it looks amazing.

I'm running 305/65/17 Cepek extreme country mt's . Wheels are Black Rhino Crawlers. 17 × 9.5 with -18 offset.

So reading all the posts, of adding 4dr Rubi springs to the 2dr sport you get about 1.5” of lift and slightly stiffer ride. My only concern here is also needing new front and rear track bars to bring the axles back to center...is this needed for 1.5” of lift?

Hello y'all, I just installed a set of JLUR hardtop shocks and springs onto my 2 door Sport softtop. I'd say it lifted the Jeep around 1.5 to 2 inches which isn't bad considering the $100 cost for the suspension which also includes LCA, end links, and front track bar. Installation is relatively simple and can be done in an evening assuming you have all the tools. I will be taking it on the trail this weekend but based on 50 miles of highway and in town driving, it drives almost identical to the stock suspension. I have the stock tires and wheels for now but will be upgrading to 33s or 34s in the near future. If y'all have any questions about the install or how it drives, feel free to ask.

Tex,

Looks really good. However I went with the Mopar lift. Got almost a full three inches from the lift itself. Living near the Continental Divide in CO my goal however was to install 35s. Here are some pics just for a comparative reference. This may possibly give others some food for thought.

First pic from stock to lift with original wheels. By the way I drove it this way for almost three months. My wheels were delayed due to covid. Loved everything about it. Just got some odd stares, likely way too much lift for the 31.5" tires. Next pic going to the 35s. I got yet almost another two inches of clearance with these larger wheels/tires.

I'm very happy with the final result. I suspect the choice in lift should be considered with your overall tire and wheel desires as well.

Again your rig looks great. You're going to really enjoy it.

Jay

No need, but I would get the longer Mopar lift LCAs, here's my install thread on the springs and 4 posts down the LCA install info.

great writeup. When you did the LCA swap you just used the ramps and no jacks keeping the weight of the jeep on the whole time?
Thanks!
Yes, Jeep remained on the ramps w/ suspension loaded during the LCA swap.
