On a separate topic, you say you were on KM3s and are now on KO2s. Why the change?

The KM3s were just a 'trial' run.

A friend in the process of building up a diesel JLUR had a set of 37 KM3s on Teraflex wheels sitting in his garage. I was waffling hard on actually pulling the trigger on 37s, because I was afraid it would kill manual drivability or make low-speed crawling in 4low a chore. So he let me mount them up and play around for a few hours to the get the manual+4.88+37 experience.

I was sold on how it performed with 37s, and considered more aggressive MTs like KM3s or STT Pros, but ultimately decided to consciously save as much weight per corner as possible (in interests of durability/reliability on my completely stock Dana 44s, not so much drivability), so I went with the K02s.

Using 4.88's on 315/70-17's isn't bad either.

Going to 4.88's improved my mileage, and it's even better now with a lighter foot.

18 - 19mpg around town, but if I try to hold 70mph or above on the highway it still drops.

Touched 20mpg on one tank being careful to make slow starts and light on the peddle. I'm mostly getting 18-18.5 mpg on summer blend but 16.5 - 17ish on winter fuel. (With hardtop and doors back on.)

Second this. I just traveled from Colorado to Toledo, Ohio and back and averaged 21+mpg over 2,800 miles, including a mixture of around town, and a lot of interstate - at 70mph. 4.88's, 315/70R17 BFG's, 6-sp MT.

I’ve got 6k miles and like 2 months of ownership. 2 door rubicon 6 speed 4.88s, stock tires. I get the same crappy milage no matter what. If I try and ease the throttle off the line. Or if I gun it. If I’m cruising 2k rpm driving slowly on the freeway. Or crushing 90mph and almost 3k rpm. I’m sitting at 17-18. The hills are steep by me so I’ll drop to 5th and sometimes 4th cruising at 70mph. The motor likes the revs more than the chugging unless in 4low. And yeah I’ve shifted from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and I’m just going under the street light when leaving an intersection. I’m seriously on the fence about increasing tire size.
