So I recently re geared '18 Rubicon JLUR,
3.6, 6spd with 4:88's and added 37" tires.
Left Winnetka via 101 out to 210 and up the 15 to Beaver, Utah.
Cajon Pass (1 short spot in 4th gear 70mph)
Most of it in 5th gear 75-77mph
Some intermediate was even in 6th.
Baker grade to Halloran Summit, again , 1 short spot in 4th gear, most in 5th gear and some again in 6th
All other driving depended on traffic flow, 5th was used up to 70. Over 70 was 6th.
TOTALLY IMPRESSED with this combination.
508 miles today 75% uphill, 25% flat, 15.8 average in picture, 15.9 as I pulled into hotel
Obviously the grades took the mileage down, 10 to 15 climbing hard. 15-18 moderate climbing, then 21 on the flat in 6th gear.
Can't ask for more

What were your numbers before?
6th gear with 35's was basically a downhill gear or 85mph plus at 2600.
5th with 35's was 75-77 mph 2500.
4th was used for cajon pass, baker grade exclusively at 70mph and 2800 ish.
Mpg seems to have dropped from 16.9 to 15.9.

Great review...looks like you accidentally posted this in the member marketplace thread. Considering your running 2500rpm at 77mph getting 15mpg, I'm curious how running 5.13s would perform on 37s on a trip like that. It would only raise your 77mph cruising rpm by 5%(125rpm) and that would obviously reduce top end mileage a little, but you would prob be in 6th gear more often and may be able to hold 5th gear on the passes instead of grabbing 4th. I wonder if it's a wash over the course of the trip and the mileage is the same or within 1 mpg..
