So finally meet up with another 392 after drove my for 9500 miles. Friend ordered 9/3 kz 10/20 In dealer(DFW,TX) 11/3 very smoothly.

XR is indeed awesome, taller and bigger in person, his 392 steering is TIGHT! No play whatsoever, so the steering issue is random. His old 3.6 is wondering all over the place, and my old 3.6 is tight, Jeep quality is joke.

4.56 gear is really awesome, acceleration is even stronger even with 35 in tires, and turning 2000 rpm at 70mph. oh that 110 mph speed limit is awesome toooooo. So damn jealous.

Mine will get here eventually. I am so pumped. But, I will be investing in some Fox shocks. I have had several jeeps on them and I love the ride.

Yeah my steering is also nice and tight. Even with leaving the dealer with 45psi on all 4 corners it was actually not bad. With that said, I am now at 35.

Smoothest Jeep I have ever drove. Suspension is very compliant.

Same as far as the feel. I got the slightest increase in wander when I went to the wider tires & wheels, but it’s still far better than I expected after everything I had read. I wonder why the dealerships (or maybe it’s the factory) crank the psi so high? Mine were all at 45psi when I picked it up too.

Edit: I wonder if they do that from the factory to minimize the jostling around during transport?

Both look great! My Sarge XR is in JB and hopefully in my garage by Christmas.

if you’re planning on running factory springs, you may want to give the factory shocks a try. Admittedly, I haven’t done anything more yet than light crawling, 20miles of washboard and Highway, but the XR rides surprisingly well — better than any of the other 6-7 rigs I’ve owned over the years with 35” or larger tires.

In my short stint, the factory shocks had decent control over the entire section of washboard I ran and do very well on the highway.

Amen to that! I’ve been waiting since mid Aug and we’re about out of MY21 build time. Jeep chat is useless as always and I reached out to my dealer yesterday
..no info has yet been provided. If I get bumped to MY 22 (which I’ve previously been told that would NOT happen
then again we’re in the Brandon years), I hope I’m at least at the front of the line.

My dealer didn’t respond today but last I saw I had a 11/29 ship so next week I expect it will be moving along. If mine gets bumped, my history with trying my dead level best to give Jeep money would mean that I’d get the last 2022 slot possible while they deliver thousands of them all over the country. I have never had a harder time spending money in my life.

I apologize if you already posted this, but when did you place your order? How do you know you have a Nov 29 ship date?

That information is provided in the dealers system. Their rep cuts and pastes the order info when I ask for updates via email. The ship date is the date the build completes and it moves to Inspection status from my experience. If its here by January I will be surprised.

I ordered 8/3.

Not necessarily. If you still have a vin, you’re good until you’re not.

Don’t know if you saw in the other thread, but an identical unit to mine
down to the last detail
was ordered by my father mid September, 40 odd days after my order. It is built and being shipped now. So order date doesn’t mean anything.
