392 swap for 2021 JLU

Hey I’ve had a 392 swap done by Americas Most Wanted 4x4 on my JL and I have to say that it’s an awesome swap! If you don’t plan on selling your rig I say pull the trigger! If you love having a warranty then go with the factory 392. My rig is staying with me till the day I die lol

I pulled the trigger and my JLU goes into the shop next week for a 392 swap.

I bought the Dakota Customs 392 kit but have my local shop doing the install.

Well I hope they start slashing their install prices first to stay relevant...really don't want full time 4wd like in the 392

the perfect transfer case for an overpowered jeep or truck is selectable 2wd, awd, 4wd hi, 4wd lo.

2wd for cruising, awd for rain or launches, 4wd for off-roading.

I believe the 4xe has the same drivetrain as 392 after the trans, but it has selectable 2wd. Might be able to use that.

only way I’m v8 swapping a jl instead of buying is if I want to swap a 2 door, or do a hellcat motor, or do a manual.

A diy “should” be a lot simpler now that a factory model exists-a guy ought to be able to buy OEM stuff to make the conversion, I’d love to have a 392 (or even a 5.7) in a JL, but not enough to drop the big $$$ it’d take
