Negligible because the I4 and V6 make basically the same power. What's the MPG difference between a V6 Grand Cherokee and an SRT Grand Cherokee?
It's a noticeable drop in mpg when going from V6 (18/25 mpg) to 6.4 V8 (13/19 mpg) in a Grand Cherokee. No thank you. The V8 roar and burble is awesome though. I'll stick with my my V6 until the Hybrid and maybe one day EV versions are viable.

This matters to the lowest common denominator, though. Most Jeep owners don't take their Wranglers onto anything remotely resembling a trail and it's these buyers that keep the brand in business. As it stands now, the 392 is way too deep into enthusiast territory, especially with its single digit gas mileage, to justify the cost of its production.

Yes, people want it and will buy it, but not enough for FCA or Stellantis or whatever they're called now to commit parts, service, and warranties.

I see the 4XE and future updates to that powertrain making the 392 Wrangler even less appealing to the general public.
Like I said, you should have bought a Prius, instead of a JLU! I bet you don't drive your Jeep in the snow either.

The great thing is something for everyone. They have an electric version and then a big V-8 Gas guzzler. With models in the middle. Win , win

That's my point. I was responding to someone who said that there wouldn't be a huge drop between the V6 and V8.

Give it a rest with that Prius crap. Just because you don't care about what is important to someone else doesn't mean you should mock them about it. Repeatedly.

Well i would not expect a big difference either.. my 2018 JLUR 3.6 never sees better than 17 MPG on the highway in Cali.. I just did 1200 miles on highway 395 to lake tahoe to LA and back.. 60-75 mph.. routinely in 6 gear down shifting (4k rpm) to pull hills while on cruse control (stock tires aka street gear) , the v8 would not have to work so hard. https://www.challengertalk.com/threads/392-gas-mileage.521369/, I bet the MPG would be closer than you think.

You may be onto something re: highway. Just looked it up...13/19 and 18/21 for the SRT Grand Cherokee and V6 Grand Cherokee. Only 2mpg difference on the highway. However, 5mpg difference on the city is considerable.

I think so too.. if i was interested in MPG, the diesel would be a good option.. I have my hopes high the 392 will happen..

Yeah! I'll give it a rest! Maybe he should have bought a 2020 BMW X3M Competition (my daily)

You have an X3M too? Cool. Or did you fumble that one?
