I consider myself a fast driver, but I don’t have any desire to drive my 392 above occasional bursts to 65-70! It pretty much handles the same as other Wranglers at speed, just louder.
65-70 wouldn't cut it here. We have 80mph speed limits which basically means 95mph. Truckers cruising the highways at 85mph seems to be normal.

I'm fairly sure that safety goes out the window at 99mph. And...the engine pushing it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever. Hopefully we won't see any 392s in the Cars & Coffee crash videos, but the good news is that the 392, with its ground clearance, will fair better than most when it jumps the curb after losing control.

BTW, this issue is likely one of the underlying reasons that Jeep resisted putting a V-8 into a Wrangler until Ford forced their hand. I love my Rubicon, but it is the world's worst platform for adding a heavy-hitter engine.
I couldn't agree more and to be honest I don't believe i would want to exceed the 99 even if i could LOL

99 really isn't that fast to be honest. It seems like an unnecessary limit. I know its not a sports car, but 99mph is anemic at best. I think 115 would have been more reasonable. Anything over that and it probably gets a little sketchy. It is essentially just a brick on wheels.

99 mph is 160 kmh up here in Canada.

There's no way I'm doing 160 kmh in a Jeep Wrangler especially with the price of speeding tickets up here. :stop:

With a high center of gravity. Probably a good reason it's limited to 99 MPH.

I disagree with anyone saying 99mph is too fast for a wrangler, drive a 392 on a straight highway road, then come talk to me...ValB is right! I did 90 with ease and it didn't feel scary, it felt like the car was capable of so much more!

I don't have my 392 yet, but must add to the conversation.
I have a 2016 Challenger Scat Pack Shaker 392 6 speed, super track pack.
And I honestly don't think I have exceeded 100 mph more than 6 or 7 times, and that was always taking someone for a ride.
Oh, and when getting on it through the gears shifting from 3rd to 4th (out of 6) was about 100.
For me, personally, it is the on ramps and zipping past the people already on the expressway that made me smile.
Just my 2 cents...

Yes, the 392 is a stable car at 99 when the limiter kicks in. I hit 99 serval times between Vegas and Reno on my way to Lake Tahoe, passing slow trucks etc. In my opinion 115-120 as a limit would be more practical...
