You're gonna need it brother. I've killed my 220 rear with 5.13 gears, 280tq, 5.13 first gear manual trans @ ~105 crawl breaking traction.

Better start a one ton fund. The 11.5 ring gear in my powerwagon has no issues.

Minor update, I noticed in the Offroad Pages, it shows 2H correctly. Even though the main dash just has the 4Auto showing unlit. That give me hope that there is a way to get that to read correctly also. There may be more settings in the AlphaOBD that I could change???

I was reading your thread and about to make this comment. Alpha should have a way to change your dash to show 2wd. The easiest way to do this is to get someone with a full time tcase to dump their JL file and compare it to yours. Locate the setting that is different and make the change.

Other option is reach out to Alexey (AlphaOBD creator) to see if he can help you. He answered my email with a couple days.

Thanks! I’ll check that out, and likely email him. I did read mine before I changed it, but I don’t know if I saved it.

This is interesting.. those computerized full time/clutch type transfer cases are the future. It would be great to know you can control those with tunes.

it was DEFINITELY releasing on me without slipping. I was monitoring the TCase torque lockup and it was going from like 1100ish nm force to zero instantly.

I even drained the case when I got home and there was zero burnt smell and fluid looked new.

Some more shenanigans today on the beach. I have about 250 miles on it now and everything seems great.

Does it really split front/rear? Oh disengage rear or neutral. rear high, rear low, front high, front low. front hi, rear low.. haha I'm at a 105 crawl ratio now with 5.13's and the manual 1st 5.13 gear.

A 5:1 case?? yeah....sign me up.

I guess, the only way to stop front driveshaft from rotating would be installing manual locking hubs along with Atlas or standard t/c that has 2H.
How loud is the Atlas compare to stock t/c?
I've had an Atlas in a LJ for years and noise is noticeable. I get a slight wine while driving at hwy speeds and slight chatter sound when you coast.
