I'm going to be retiring my 38x13.5 Milestar Pat's before this winter sets in. They've served me well through all sorts of inclement weather, but I'm interested in trying something new. I'm currently looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss m/t's in a C-rated 40x13.50, because I don't want to downsize to 37's and there aren't many tires available in between. Anyone have some thoughts to share about the Baja Boss m/t's? Thanks!

I had their 37s on my JLUR for a couple thousand miles before I switched over to 39” KM3s.
I would compare them very much the same as the STT Pro. They are a little louder than the KM3s.
They were excellent on wet pavement, which is what I look for in a mud tire really. I know a modern mud tire will be good Offroad so I look for the ones that are good on the highway.
I live in FL, so I haven’t tested any of those tires in snow or ice.

Thanks for chiming in with that, Kirt. The northeast is a wet environment, and the Baja Boss m/t's sound like they fit the bill in that area. Another thing I like about them, is they are a hybrid tire. The shoulder lugs are larger and spaced out and the center ones are closer and overlapping like an all terrain, with siping throughout. I daily drive my jeep, so a tire that can hold its own both on and off road is preferred.

39 inch BFG’S should be in stock and easy to get. I just threw a set on last night. And I am very satisfied with them. They weigh 88 lbs and ride very smooth. Also only took 2 ounces to balance out 4 tires and one tire took 5 ounces. I ordered through Costco and it did take them 2 1/2 weeks to get them in. But I think it’s because shipping was slow.

You have to run spacers? What size? Any rubbing? What lower control arms you running? Looks good. I like the factory wheels.

Minimum 1 1/2” wheel spacers with the stock wheels. Adjust the steering stops out a couple turns. Gut your inner liners. And i’m running my own lower control arm and the rest are stock.
