I would think a 3.5 on a JL Rubi would have a pretty big fender gap. It doesn't bother me, but it depends on the look you are after. I think I have a few photo's of 37's and 38's on the Mopar 2" lift on a Rubi.

Here's 38's with that setup.

38" tires on a 3" lift, but currently sitting a bit taller (3.5-4") due to stock plastic bumpers, no winch yet, etc.

Sweet rig.

By chance, do you have any more pics?

How do you like those tires? Are they fairly quiet on the highway? Strongly considering them for my build.

I think mine has settled some since the first two pictures. I do wish it was just maybe 1/2" lower....
I'm sure when I install all my skids/sliders/accessories it will come down to where I want it.

How much space is there between the top of your tire and the front fender? You mind measuring?

9" - 9-1/8" to the lowest part of the fender.

11" to the line or where the upper fender "splits" apart from the lower portion( more consistent measurement)

Those are the Black Bear Mud Terrain's. Parent company is Tri-Ace Tires. It's a relatively new company that is pushing themselves in the off road industry. They have a very popular "race" tire that many teams are running.

http://blackbeartire.com/

The 38's on the shop rig (in the photo) are a 38x15.5x20...

They also make a 38x15.5x18 which I think would look amazing on a JL with 3.5" of lift.

Here’s a quick pic. I’m parked right by a gutter, which is why the rig looks uneven. On flat ground it’s nice and level.
